Some time ago we reported that lovers Anastasia Zavorotnjuk and figure skater Peter Chernishev have broken up, but they reappeared together at the latest taping of the show "Ice Period."
While Anastasia was anchoring the show, Peter was sitting in the bleachers looking intensely at her. So, it seems as if they are back together. It also seems that Peter is not going to participate in either “Ice Period” on TV Channel One or “Dances on Ice” on the “Russia” TV Channel.
Meanwhile at the “Ice Period” show it was hard to recognize Maxim Stavisky.
The make up artists and wardrobe specialists transformed him so much that he did not look at all like himself. For the number of “Polovetsky Dances” they made this blond skater a dark hared brunet with a pony-tail.
Povilas Vanagas was transformed as well as to perform an Indian Dance.
Tatiana Navka came to the taping directly from the airport where she flew in from the Eurovision competition where she, together with Alexander Litvinenko, won second place in the international ballroom dancing competition. She was in such a a hurry that she did not bring her skating costume with her and was dancing on the ice in the same dress that she used for the Eurovision competition. But it did not slow her down at all.
Anna Semenovich was left without a partner after Alexey Kortnev fell down and broke two ribs. She thought that she would have to leave the show, but a knight appeared and saved her. The knight was World’s Champion in fencing Pavel Kolobkov.
Irina Slutskaya and Irina Lobacheva also found their partners, but at this time their names are kept secret so as to keep up the interest of the public.
The third season of the show is about to begin. There are 17 pairs of famous skaters and other stars.
The two coaches of the show – Ilja Averbuch and Alexander Zhulin -- changed their involvement in the show. If in the previous years they each were coaching a particular group of participants, who competed between themselves, this season both of them will work with all of the participants. The performance of the participants will be judged by the judges at the rink and by the TV spectators who will give their input by phone. The coach who prepared the winning pair will get additional points.

Evgeny Pluschenko showed again that he knows how to win, if it is a medal – it is gold, if it is a diploma – summa cum laude.
On September 1, the famous figure skater received a diploma from the St. Petersburg Economics University. Three years ago, he decided that just a sports education was not enough. He enrolled in the school of tourism and hospitality business. Now he is a qualified manager in this area. He was supposed to get the diploma in June, but was very busy with practices, rehearsals and family problems.
To mark the occasion, the school's leadership arranged to present him with a diploma on the first day of the new class.
As guest of honor, Pluschenko was seated next to the Chancellor of the University at the event. When he received his diploma, Pluschecnko gave a speech and encouraged the new students to study hard in one of the best schools in Russia.

Far in advance of the new season, the two major Russian TV channels have started a big war, where the main ammunition is money and personal preferences.
The two major ice shows – “The Ice Period” and “Dances on Ice” have not finalized their programs and are still competing for participants.
"The Ice Period" has several major problems – it is still not clear how many couples will come out on ice; who will replace traumatized Sergey Zhigunow and who will perform with Alexey Yagudin?
The skaters group is going to be the same as it was in the last season. But since Ilja Averbuch, the producer of the show, wants to have more couples - there will be new faces, for example Olympic Champion Ekaterina Gordeeva. On the other hand, Anton Sikharulidse will not come out on the ice – his duties as a politician do not leave him enough time for practices.
"Dances on Ice" are betting on the winners of Eurovision. Pluschenko will become a commentator together with Anastasia Zavorotnjuk and his girlfriend Jana Rudkovskaya will skate with Peter Chernishov. Singer Dima Bilan will skate with Elena Bereznaja, who replaced pregnant Marina Anisina.

The husband of Olympic Champion Tatiana Navka moved in to a rental apartment with a 23 years old mistress.
Regardless of the fact that Alexander and Tatiana are still formally married, it is not a secret to anyone that their love life broke down long ago. For the last 6 months the 45 year old coach is very happy and is attending the parties of high society accompanied by his girlfriend Natalia Mikhajlova. Recently the lovers moved in together.
Zhulin is very much in love and spends with his mistress days and nights. Last night was not an exception – the young blond and the famous coach went for dinner to a posh restaurant in Moscow. After dinner they demonstratively hugged and kissed each other and than left for home. Not for their individual homes, but rather to their new family nest.

Impossible, but its a fact – Olympic Champion Tatiana Navka is going to “Eurovision”. Although the girl does not plan to sing, she will surprise the public by participating in the dance competition with professional dancer Alexander Litvinenko.
On September 6 in Glasgow, Scotland's International Competition –“Eurovision Dance Contest” will take place. Each competing couple representing a country will consist of one professional dancer and the other partner should be a non-dancer, but famous in some other area.
The Russian couple has a very good chances to win the competition. Both partners are well known to spectators in Russia and outside. Tatiana Navka together with Roman Kostomarov won a lot of Gold Medals at the European and World Championships in Ice Dancing and in 2006 they won Gold Medals at the Salt Lake City Olympics.
Also, for the two seasons in a row, Tatiana participated in the most popular ice shows – “The Stars on Ice” and the “Ice Period” and she always was among the prize winners at these shows.
Alexander Litvinenko is one of the most popular of Russia's professional ballroom dancers. He participated and won prizes in many standard and Latin dancing competitions.
When the Russians decided to participate in Eurovision, they first selected Tatiana and then looked for a partner for her.
The couple will dance to the music of one of the famous songs by (Vladimit) Visotsky.
Says Tatiana – “I am very happy to participate in this contest. I love dancing very much. When I first came to a rehearsal, I thought that it would be a simple task. But apparently ballroom dancing is very complicated. It has its own techniques. And as in anything, to get good results one has to work hard. I understand that the competition will be very tough, but as always, before entering anything I am telling myself that I will do it to the best of my abilities.”

Peter Chernishov ran away from Anastasia Zavorotnjuk. At the end of July, he left for the US allegedly due to business problems. While Peter was having great time in the US with his friends, Anastasia was sad and alone in Moscow. She has many reasons to be sad.
As soon as the figure skater Peter Chernishov appeared in the TV show “Dances with Stars” he obtained a lot of female admirers. His partner at the show, Julia Kovalchuk, was smitten with him as well.
They worked so well together that they become the leaders and finally the winners of the competition at the show. They earned that by working very hard. From early morning till late at night they worked together at the rink.
But during that period Peter found time to start a romance with Zavorotnjuk. Anastasia fell for Peter very fast and hard. The first clouds on the horizon appeared when she learned that he had two other flames – one in St. Petersburg and the other in the US, where Peter lived and worked last few years. American figure skater Naomi Lung is still madly in love with Peter. (Ed note. I addressed that allegation here).
But the lovers made up and left for a holiday in the islands. It was reported that Peter proposed to Anastasia and met her with his parents. Although, when he went to the Olympics to Beijing, she stayed behind in Moscow. When asked why it was that way, she did not want to comment on their situation.
