Ice dancing first became an Olympic sport in 1976. America's Colleen O’Connor and Jim Milns won a Bronze at thatinaugurall event. (The US then promptly suffered an Olympic ice dancing drought until Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto broke the curse with a Silver this past February in Turino).
